Easter Eggs 2014 – Magic Symbols

I love painting easter eggs. My favorite aunt had an amazing talent for that kind of thing. She always painted over 100 eggs each year. Growing up I spent a lot of time crafting with her. It became sort of a tradition to paint a few easter eggs each year. I always gift them to friends and family and think of my lovely late aunt. 🙂

Easter Eggs 2014 – Magic Symbols

This year all the eggs I painted had some kind of magic theme. 🙂 Some friends of mine celebrate the pagan festival “Ostara” (which falls on the day of the vernal equinox) and really love ancient magic symbols and things like that. So I painted a lot of “magical eggs” for them. Used symbols include celtic knots, triquetras, goddess symbols, pentragrams and triskelions.

materials used:

  1. So excited to have seen your work in the rock group we belong too! Which led me here, I can’t wait to make some of the crafts you show. Your the first person I’ve seen that makes runes too! It is one of my favorite things to make in fact I just finished a set earlier tonight as I’m going to an Artfair this week end!
